GENRE: Children’s Adventure (An Unofficial Minecraft Book for Kids Ages 9 - 12 (Preteen Jake was always confident in just about everything he did until his friend, Steve, sends him out on a little errand after they (technically just Steve) build a house. On his way back from the errand, he gets lost and finds a town that’s heavily guarded by guards and a very big gate surrounding it. Does he find this strange? Probably but Jake is more worried about the monsters outside the gate than the strangers inside the wall. Entering this new town that he’s never heard of before was a new experience for him. He has a welcoming encounter with zombies and meets a slightly crazy mayor. When Jake asks the townspeople who their founders are, they freak out and think that he’s a crazy one for he does not know. Notch? Jake has never heard of him. Herobrine? Is it Hero-brine or Her-obrine,Never mind...Steve?Of course Jake knows Steve. He basically grew up with him but Steve never mentioned anything about establishing a town and Steve seems to young to be a founding father. Jake begins to question everything after he finds out that there’s a book about his entire life. Past, present, and future. How fun! All that power in the hands of one person but it’s not in Jake’s hands. Nope. It even feels like the whole town is out to get him. Does Jake even have the option to leave anymore? GENRE: Children’s Adventure (An Unofficial Minecraft Book for Kids Ages 9 - 12 (Preteen) Jake is known by many names: Jake, sidekick, and zombie bait but not a hero. Jake and Penny are trying to figure out what to do after Herobrine invades the town. Although they successfully manage to escape, Jake finds out more about Penny’s past and one of her worst enemies...HER EX. Oh, and a little bit about the past of the town but no biggie. On their way to Jake’s old house, they run into a very desperate iron golem who grabs Jake and leads him upstairs into Jake’s old house and gets Jake to help him open a locked door. Jake (by some miracle) manages to open the door and sees a hole in the middle of an obsidian room that Jake had no idea existed until he opened the door. Penny tells Jake that she saw a mysterious figure running away. The iron golem leads them into a cave and eventually, to the Nether. Neither Penny nor Jake are very fond of this and as this happens the iron golem just keeps on acting more and more suspicious but just ends up saving their lives. After figuring out why the iron golem needed to go to the Nether, they are surprised to see what happens. Soon, Jake meets a very important friend and gives Jake a choice to make. It’s to either go look for Notch or stay and find a different way to save the town. Join Jake, Penny, Danny the book, and their new friend, the iron golem (AKA Justin) on the mission to save the town that Jake’s ex friend decided to take over.
